Drumroll, please!
My local FREE music festival, Celebrate Brooklyn, has a great line up this summer. The first two artists in June are the Neville Brothers and then Joan Osborne. Unfortunately, I’ll be out of town for the Joan O concert. I’m comforting myself that earlier that week, Joan Armatrading will be appearing at World
Financial Center Plaza. FREE. Free is musical. I did make one small mistake. I got myself very excited about Ralph Stanley. I’m sure that Ralph is an impressive musician, though I doubt very much whether I can go to the concert of someone whose website features a photo of himself with George and Laura Beastiepeople. My error was confusing Ralph Stanley with Luther Wright and the Wrongs. I was thinking that I would be hearing the bluegrass rendition of The Wall. But I was wrong.

If you haven’t read about my race yesterday click back one. I’m pleased with my strategy of running faster than usual and walking through the water stations to give myself a bit of a break. My calves are a little sore today, but I’m going to take the bike out tonight and do 10 miles. The NYC Tri is only 10 weeks away and I need to make the next 69 days count if I want to cross the finish line in one piece. E will be doing an organized group, but I think that I’d rather motivate myself than spend $240 for a group. Besides, I bought a new air conditioner, which I think is a better quality-of-life investment than a triathlon group. I might not get fit, but I hope to stay cool.

Whooo girl! Welcome! I’m soon to unveil my wordpress site. Just trying to get all my links and such set up first. So…what did you think of Survivor (yes, I watched every minute of the 3 hours)? Was Yau-man robbed or what? Actually, of the remaining three, I’m glad Earl won. Cassandra: boy, talk about flying under the radar! I’m surprised that Earl and Yauman didn’t discuss voting her out if Dreamz reneged (and, I’m sorry, but I really think he changed his mind. I just don’t buy him as THAT savvy). But, I suppose if Yau had been in the top three, he’d have won. Oh well.

I can’t decide if I’m heading to WordPress or Blogspot. I’m planning a move too, but I don’t have time to work on it, so it might take a little whle. I’m trying to back up all my old entries in Word first. If you figure out how to move your old stuff to WordPress, let me know. But welcome to your new place!
