Rebate Tuesday
Today is Tuesday. Tuesday seems to be rebate day at my local breakfast establishment. Every day I order a scrambled egg on a roll. Every Tuesday, when I give him the $2, he puts it in the bag with the sandwich. It’s a good tradition for a Tuesday.
Despite extreme soreness, I did our 3.35 mile run this morning in under 40 minutes. I really really (really, really) want to do well in my anniversary race. The mini was the first race I ever did and this will be my friends and my fourth year running it. Last year I did it in 11:45/mile and I’m ready to do better, if it isn’t too damn HOT. A 10K is short enough that I should be able to muster the energy to do well. I should be reminding myself that I did that race in 2004 after only running for 12 weeks and it took me almost 1.5 hours to do it. Unless I’m sick or injured, I’ll do MUCH better than a 14 minute mile.
I can’t keep my speed dating book idea out of my mind: 20 states/100 nights of dates. If only I had a spare 50 thou lying around.

I think the book is an awesome idea - why not shop it around?

I agree with Lass. If you want some help with proposal writing, let me know. Mr. Spy’s going through this process and could probably tell you what to expect. I wonder, though, if you’d need to get permission from those whom you write about.
