Scheduled program
Supposedly my little work problem is going to get fixed. I’m cautiously optimistic.
Back to our regularly scheduled programming. The NYC Triathlon is 37 days away. I’m feeling sore despite not having cycled since Sunday. I’m not going to try to rent a bike up at my mom’s because I want to rest (and because it’s very hilly there). I’m hoping to run a couple of times. I should be home mid- to late afternoon on Monday and then I really NEED to ride the bike.
My plan in the four weekends after this one is to ride at least 20 miles on two of the weekends and to ride 25 miles on the other two weekends. Given that I only have another 4 real training weekends, I’m not sure whether to do two more bricks (combination cycling/running workout) or to just do one. It’s a mystery that I need to solve pretty quickly.
I’m also bailing on next Thursday evening’s run because I got free tickets from a local public radio station to go on a music cruise around the Hudson. I’ll be psyched to hear Marcia Ball sing. I’m not sure who’s going with me; my friend who’s an MB fan won’t be back in town until Sunday, so I left her a message.
I’ll be curious to see how I do in this triathlon. My training has been so lackadaisical compared to last year. Or maybe I won’t do the triathlon…that’s still an option. Yes!!

I love the new picture. And the Marcia Ball thing sounds like so much fun. I wish I could go too. I also see that Chris Smither is coming in August. I might like that one even more. Sigh. I hate being broke and stationary.

My sister is doing a triathlon this Sunday and would like to wish you well on yours…so happy “triathlating” from PJ (and me, of course).
