Yay for biking! I have to say, I don't miss riding in crowds of people. When I used to bike on the lakeshore trail regularly, there is a stretch by the beach where people would just wander across the path without looking. And in the summer, it was often covered with sand, which made for exciting braking. I actually snapped a brake cable once when some idiot parents weren't watching their toddler and she ran about two feet in front of my front tire. Scared the crap out of me. It's a whole different kind of biking.
