She w000n’t know what she’s up against
I did my 4 mile run at a 12:35 pace and it felt fine. Once the weather cools down I can do a lot better, but my breathing suffers on these humid days despite taking Advair twice daily.
I was relieved because this is my first short run in over a week that hasn’t felt bad. Tomorrow I’m going to try to do 13 miles; half with E and half alone. I just want to get the miles in. I expect that it will take me just under three hours and I’m fine with that. I’m trying to plot out a possible run for next weekend When! I’ll! be! on! vacation! on! Nantucket! I have a 13 mile run scheduled that I really need to do…so we’ll see.
Yesterday I started dreaming about fried clams (with bellies), clam chowder, lobster bisque and fresh bluefish. I had a strange food day yesterday because I was very hungry. In addition to a huge salad and bread, I had a roll and a chocolate covered pretzel at lunch. Then for my 4PM running snack I had that greek yogurt with honey. After my run, I was satisfied with cereal and milk. I haven’t managed to give up whole milk and butter for WW. I’m trying to create a food plan that I can live with “forever” and I don’t foresee my world without a little whole milk and butter unless my cholestrol goes up.
This weekend: running, eating and sleeping. And maybe Bourne. But sleeping sounds terrific.

Wow - chocolate covered pretzel. And the mention of sleep. In the same entry. Mmmmm.

I am envious of your upcoming vacation and happy that you got a good run in!
Hopefully your weather Saturday will be as cool as it is suppose to be here (high of 78!) and you’ll have an enjoyable long run.

Good luck out there in the heat, missy! Also, butter is still a daily part of my diet. Life is not worth living without some small amounts of bad-for-you deliciousness.
