Nantucket-Part 1
My trip was glorious!
I flew in last Thursday morning. After finding out that my luggage had stayed in NY along with 20 other people’s things, H met me and whisked me off to the “club.” I love going to the club right from the plane—it’s gotten to be something of a tradition. We met her family there and I did some catching up. After eating lobster salad, we did some errands and went to the beach. It was wonderful to have some time to talk with H, since we live on opposite coasts.
We were staying in a cousin’s house, who I’ve never met. He had agreed to let the six of us stay at his place. It was a beautiful house with a front porch, a back deck, four bedrooms and three and a half baths. We also had use of his massive SUV, which was equipped with 4 beach chairs and 2 beach umbrellas. I’d love to say that it had all the comforts of home, but since I live in a stuffy, rent-stabilized apartment it was a big step up compared with my usual accommodations. That’s what I love in a vacation.
I’m back at work today…more later.

Glad you had a great time. Also - Christ is cute! HA! I WISH it had said that - I’d have them framed. Yeah, and he’s not really my type either. But, he was Jewish so I’m sure your mother would have approved.

I come to New York for a vacation. You leave New York for a vacation. Ha! Sounds great though and always nice to get out of the tiny apartments and see how the other half lives!

Good to hear that you had such fun. The house sounds lovely, as does the rest of it! There was more conversation about the carpooling thing today but if I try to write about it, my head might explode.
