A little more
Here I am with R and some random Scottish guy. We are running through my neighborhood at about mile 7.
My legs are a bit better today. It’s still quite a challenge to walk downstairs, especially to the subway, but I am more AWAKE! My boss insisted that I bring my finisher’s medal in today and she enjoyed seeing it. The medal isn’t meaningful to me, but it’s fun that other people like it.
Yesterday it was a huge struggle to get here. On the first train, I got a seat and that was good. On the second train I didn’t and I was juggling a travel coffee mug and my lunch. I was trying to find a place to lean, but some guy was in my way. I didn’t realize how obviously I mouthed, “Mother Fucker!” at his back, but it worked in my favor because someone immediately offered me a spot by the door, where there is a wall to lean on.
Last night I watched the professional women’s marathon race that I had recorded. It amazes me that anyone can go so fast for so long. All I can say is WOW!

I really think you should go with a kilt next year. It adds a little oomph!

A kilt would be nice but I think satin hot pants would make more of a statement.

Yes, I’d be MUCH more likely to run in hot pants than a kilt. My mishpocha ain’t no Scots!

Oh my god, somebody said Motherfucker on a subway? Love the kilt guy though. At quick glance it almost looks like Steve Carrell from “The Office”.
