Grimeathon

It’s always so peculiar when Saturday isn’t a running day. I allowed myself to sleep until 9AM! It was truly glorious, though I could have kept going. But I wanted to make it to the Greenmarket to do my business.

I have to admit that I feel sad because the market in November is getting more sparse–lots of squash, brussels sprouts and Apples(yum)! But no flowers, the grapes people weren’t there and the milk folks hadn’t made it. But the turkey folks were there and I ordered my 11-13 lb turkey for TG. There were far fewer people there than usual and that’s always appreciated.

Then I came home and did some (ahem) cleaning. It was actually a pre-clean because my neighbor will come in to do the vacuuming, mopping and other more difficult stuff.  But I cleaned many, many half-used quarts of milk out of the fridge, scrubbed the grime out of the tub and threw away a lot of papers. I managed to do almost 2.5 hours of pre-clean, which is a lot for me, since I have a higher tolerance for disarray than anyone I know.  But I do try to make it better before guests come.

Tomorrow morning is my first post-marathon run.  My legs feel back to normal and I’m looking forward to being out in the fresh air, even if the air is a bit chilly.
