Be my little clinging vine
I had my first post-marathon run today. It was an easy 3.4 miles and I was sorry when it was over. It was under 40 degrees during the run and while that made walking to our meeting place a bit chilly, the run itself felt good. I’m debating whether to do a run during the week–the running people will run on Tuesday evening, but I’m reluctant to run in the park now. It’s so desolate.
It was another quiet day here–I made chicken soup, read a mystery and took plenty of Advil for my cramps. I bought my book yesterday and finished it this evening, just as I did two weeks ago. I love spending my day getting lost in a book and it feels decadent. The cat appears to like it also–she must have “Cuddle up a Little Closer” running through her tiny animal brain.
I wish that I had tomorrow off, but instead I’ll be off on Dec 24. So I will drag my rear end to work and hope for the best.

A whole day just reading? Wow. I remember those days. I’m jealous, I’ll admit. I’m glad you had a good curl-up-and-read day. Mine will return in about….10 years? Maybe. I’m not envious of the advil, though.

I love curling up with a good book, the cat would be an added bonus.
