Pie
I’m chilling out a little about TG. After I broke my coffeepot in an attempt to wipe up some grounds, I stepped away from the tantrum and got some perspective (as well as a new pot).
I’m about to go pick up a pie from a woman who is raising $$ for cancer in honor of her mother. I’m impressed that she’s found a way to honor her mother’s memory with food. I’m curious about the progress of her project and also very psyched for the Sugar Cream Pie that I’ll have in an hour. How will I wait 48 hours to eat it?
In less than 24 hours my mother will arrive…holidays are a good thing. It’s not the state of apartment…family, friends and food. Yup.

Have a great holiday! I always solve the pie problem by making two - one for the meal and one for just….eating. Why wait?

My mom is downstairs making four pumpkin pies and one toasted pecan pie. This is one area in which I can say, with absolute certainty, that I will never be like my mother. Also, I had a dream about you last night! I dreamt we were neighbors and it suddenly occurred to me that I could walk next door and introduce myself to you. And I did, and shortly after that you moved out of the building. Is it something I said?

That Sugar Cream pie was chewy and yummy, I thought (we had one of each of the fundraising pies at our Thanksgiving). I heard that she raised $4000 from the pie-making escapade. Way to go, right?!
