Gobbbbbbb
There was a lot that I enjoyed about TG–the Sugar Cream pie was astoundingly good, I enjoyed having it at my place despite all the prep drama. The 5 mile Turkey Trot was great. It was my third trot and I was pleased with my time–56:15 or 11:15 pace. R and I were talking bout the race afterwards and agreed that while we were pleased when it was over, the 5 miles seemed like so little after the marathon.
My lungs are continuing to improve. The congestion is gone and I’m not having a hard time climbing the stairs. It took me awhile to recover from the three mile run I did this AM at a very slow pace and my lungs are still a little sore, but I’m feeling better.
I’m not looking forward to cooking the turkey soup. I’ve eaten turkey and fixins for 5 meals in the past three days…but it isn’t over yet. Note to self: buy a smaller turkey next year. I bought escarole and ginger to try to liven up the soup, but it’s turkey soup. What can you really do about that?

hmmmm, turkey tetrazinni is one of my favs.
I hate to tell you but I got the crud in my lungs 4 weeks ago and although I feel much much better, I am still coughing up gunk. I hope that you do not have the same bug that caused mine. It absolutely wreaked havoc on the running…
Did I miss something…..who was this “him” company????

Even when I ate meat, I never particularly cared for turkey. One year I insisted on ham! Five days….that’s a lot of turkey. Good luck! Throw in a couple garlic cloves, too!
