Festive
They came, we had a festive time and they have gone. It always amazes me how much planning it takes to get meals on the table for three people for two days–I’m not sure how you moms do it…practice, I guess.
We saw a hilarious play with Nathan Lane as a cross between GWBush and Nixon. It’s 90 minutes of a lot of laughs, featuring turkey pardons and gay marriage. We’re hoping that it doesn’t seem so funny after this coming November.
I just got back from doing a 3.35 mile loop of the park, which I “accidentally” did at a 11:25/mile pace. That’s almost a minute per mile faster than my regular training pace. I guess that eating a lot of food makes me faster! My friends M and B came for brunch to see my mother, so I had some bagel and lox in my belly to speed me on. That must be my secret.
I’m very tired from not sleeping in my bed for a couple of nights. I will now repair to my sofa for a lovely nap. I can’t believe I have a 5 day work week coming up…after 3 weeks of shorter weeks it’ll be a complete shock!

I’m just sitting here trying to think what a cross between GW Bush and Nixon would be like, as played by Nathan Lane. EEEK! But I’d watch Nathan Lane read a phone book. He’s hilarious!
