departures
Less than an hour ago, Harriet got into the car which is taking her to the airport–it was a great visit. We went to the top of the Empire State Building, walked around the East Village a little and ate vegan food at one of my favorite restaurants. On our way to the restaurant we saw an older woman talking on her cell phone, “I’ve been praying and praying and NOTHING HAPPENS,” she yelled. Things are in a sad state here, I guess.
I had hoped to run today, but my throat is a bit sore and the cat hasn’t been very cooperative when it comes to my sleep. I have a dinner party to attend later, and between now and then I plan to watch TV, read the paper, and nap. Later, folks.

You should have been there, Lass. I think I’m going to buy the cookbook. I don’t think I can wait until I go back to have more of that delicious food. Thanks again, Cranky!
