Made for talking

After two nights of nightmares from the Wire, I watched The Hallmark Hell of Flame Movie that I had recorded on Sunday evening. I found it excruciating, but I subsequently slept very well.  Amber Tamblyn has cancer, but doesn’t want to tell anyone because she’s a bad person with a DEEP DARK SECRET.  It’s hard for me to relate to movies in which non-disclosure of an illness or injury plays a part.  I can barely keep it a secret when I have menstrual cramps (LIKE TODAY!)  I have a great future as one of those ladies who tells you all about her maladies when you don’t care…”have I told you about my gout?”  That’s going to be me.

Speaking of gout (were we?) I need to call the podiatrist to try to get an appointment.  I don’t think that I’m going to get any good answers about what’s wrong with my foot, but I’ve been ignoring this discomfort for a while.  It’s not an acute injury and so I worry about getting unsatisfying answers, but…it keeps flaring up. Damn foot.  Good thing I have two of them.

Cramps can suck it. Hope you feel better soon.

I’m not even 50 yet and then other day I realized I was complaining about the pain in my knees to my mother. Oy! At least it was caused by riding the stationary bike at the gym and not just kvetching.
