Have I mentioned…
On Saturday we ran 4 miles…Sunday was 5.7…Monday was 5.7. By Tuesday evening, when we did 4, i couldn’t WAIT for it to be over. I’m not used to eating after 8:30 anymore, and by the time I sat down to my turkey burger, kale, and baked potatoes my appetite was in overdrive. I ate the meal…I ate some wheat toast…I ate more toast. Then I ate more toast, in the absence of anything better. I love my Greenmarket wheat bread–yum. Note to self: must buy more fruit and eat less bread.
There were a surprising number of people in the park at 7 on Tuesday. It’s clear that people are ramping up for Spring. I have a mantra which is beginning to annoy everyone who has to hear it: “do you know that it’s only 4 weeks until spring? ANd just over 2 weeks until Daylight Savings is back. No, really, it’s almost over. I know it’s cold and gonna snow, but Sping is almost here…did I mention that it’s only 17 days until daylight savings is back? It won’t get dark until 7PM that day…and that’s soon!”
I know it’s annoying, but I can’t help myself. It’s like my security blankie.

2 weeks until DST? Really? I can’t get used to this newfangled schedule.

TWO WEEKS???!! Kick ass!! Are you starving after you exercise? I am and unfortunately, what I crave is carbs - so like you, I often eat bread or crackers. Why do our bodies do that to us?
