Claudia said everything I was thinking as I read your post. I agree that it sounds like a cool wedding, but I also think that if you’re going to go to the expense of a plane ticket, it would be better spent visiting one of your internet friends. In Austin, Texas, for example.

I think all you need to say is “Thank you so much for inviting me, but unfortunately, I can’t make it.” It’s a long way and I’m sure your friend will understand. Besides, on the day of the wedding, it’s unlikely she’ll have much time to visit with you anyway. Take her out for a drink beforehand or write in your reply that you’d like to see the photos and/or video afterwards. She’ll know you’re not blowing her off.
